BEST FAKE EYELASHES: OUR DEFINITIVE GUIDE

Posted on 28 September 2017

Blowing up in the beauty stakes recently were Dior's spidery eyelashes seen on the SS18 catwalk.

Dior SS18 Beauty Eyelashes

As much as we are superfans of mascara, we also love a bit of drama and some longer lasting luscious lash effects. Wearing fake eyelashes are the the ultimate way to go for enhancing and beautifying your look.

Where to start? There are so many amazing brands and styles out there, a little experimentation will be required, but here are our faves! Please be aware that fake eyelashes are made from all kinds of materials, from synthetic, to human and even mink. There are plenty of cruelty-free options too, see below.

Huda Beauty Faux Mink Eyelashes #12 Farrah

One of the biggest and best names on the eyelash market has to be Huda Beauty. The faux mink collection of eyelashes are just phenomenal. These 'Farah' lashes are triple-stacked lashes feature patent-pending tapered fibres, which emulate the soft, feathery texture of real fur (without any cruelty) for maximum eyelash impact.

TARTE Tartiest Pro cruelty lashes

TARTE Tarteist™ Pro cruelty free eyelashes are mega full, flirty, really easy-to-use. The ultra-black, cruelty-free faux lashes dramatically boost volume and length with lightweight, vegan fibers that blend with your own lashes for a naturally bold effect. The comfort-fit, flexible band disappears into the lash line and is made of soft cotton for weightless wear. Best of all, they're formulated without parabens and phthalates.

Lilly lashes faux mink eyelashes Olivia

Love these 'Olivia' faux mink lashes by Lilly Lashes, they're made up of varying thickness of lashes and made from silk like synthetic fibres.  We love how these open up the eyes whilst adding some glamour.

Urban Decay Fast easy sexy partial lashes

If you only need a little oomph in the lash department, these Urban Decay partial lashes are perfect a little more subtle and easy to apply.

Next up, how do you apply your fake eyelashes? We love this 'How-to' by Elle magazine.

Are you a fan of wearing mascara or are you a fake eyelashes kinda gal? We'd love to hear your application techniques too!
